Worship at St Michael’s

Worship is a key part of our life together as a church in the community. As a village church, we offer worship in different styles, but with the same relaxed and friendly feel as we praise God and grow in our faith.Painting by Janet Heritage

Quality Time (1st Sunday at 10.30am)
A lively half-hour service specially for children and families – but which draws from all ages!

Morning Worship (2nd, 3rd, 5th Sundays at 10.30am)
A relaxed service of contemporary worship and
teaching, with children‟s activities.

Family Communion (4th Sunday at 10.30am)

We welcome all who are baptised to Communion, including children. Here we are a church family, united as we remember Jesus.

Holy Communion (2nd Sunday at 9.30am)
A short quiet service to start the day.

Following the pandemic, we hope to re-start our Senior Citizens’  Service (Tuesday at 2.30pm monthly)

Once a month, we hold a short service in the Church Hall for senior citizens in the village. It consists of some hymns, a Bible reading and reflection, and prayers. We then enjoy tea and home-made cakes together, which are always a highlight.

The date always varies as it is dependent on the village Darby and Joan afternoons, so please check in Scene or Tiddler.

Sunday Bible Teaching

We have recently started recording the teaching talks so that those who are involved in running the children’s groups, or who are away, can still hear what’s been said in the teaching slot. These talks are ways of exploring the Bible and stimulating discussion and challenge in our Christian faith
